Dewey LaMarr Hoyt Jr. is an American former professional baseball right-handed pitcher. He played in Major League Baseball for the Chicago White Sox and San Diego Padres from 1979 to 1986. He won the 1983 American League Cy Young Award.
Say No to Drugs messaging was included on 80’s wax packs. Dewey unfortunately had his career shortened by addiction, arrests and suspensions.

This guy won the 1983 AL Cy Young award and I do not believe it.
He won the hell out of that Cy Young. Believe it. But ya. Him?
Had to look up why career was fairly short. Drugs. I guess Nancy never get through to this guy, nor did the messaging on the ‘87 wax wrappers.
